METAPHYSICS IN YOGA
Yoga is practical metaphysics
I no longer work from that perspective, but there was a time when I prayed to specific deities to help me on my spiritual path. And it worked.
It took me a long time to learn this name: Avalokiteshvara, the deity of compassion within Buddhism. For a long time, I prayed to Ganesha too. And Hanuman, the inspiration for Son Goku from Dragon Ball!!
In some way, each of them gave me what they were promoting. And I am very grateful to them. It was like knocking on the door with a unique entry code to pass that challenge that I most likely would not have achieved without them.
I still have challenges and obstacles to overcome, but my attitude has changed, particularly as a result of the "Santosha" niyama. I am still developing this attitude of contentment with what is happening to me, combined with a lot of dedication, the niyama "Tapas", and this other niyama, "Ishvara Pranidhana", my favourite one.
So we're on our way, with patience, returning as often as necessary to these moral values of the Yamas and niyamas.
At last, I am delighted with the work done through these prayers to these deities.
